Couples Therapy

Relationships are shaped over time by communication patterns, shared histories, stressors, and unspoken expectations. When couples seek therapy, they are often navigating periods of transition, disconnection, or repeated conflict that feels difficult to resolve on their own.

In couples therapy, I work collaboratively with both partners to better understand relational patterns and the emotional experiences beneath them. Sessions focus on helping each person feel heard and understood, while also exploring how the relationship responds to stress, change, and unmet needs. Rather than assigning blame, we work toward greater clarity, responsiveness, and connection.

Couples therapy can be especially helpful during periods of transition—such as becoming parents, navigating career or caregiving changes, or addressing ongoing tension that has begun to feel entrenched. My approach is thoughtful and relational, with attention to pacing, safety, and the complexity of each partner’s experience.

Couples sessions are offered when relationship dynamics are a central part of the work being explored, with an emphasis on collaboration, respect, and strengthening connection over time.
