Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what you’re experiencing. People seek therapy for many reasons—navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or stress, feeling disconnected, or noticing long-standing patterns that no longer feel workable. Many clients come to individual therapy during periods of transition or heightened anxiety, even when life may appear stable from the outside.

Our work together is collaborative and thoughtful. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, therapy invites a deeper understanding of emotional patterns, relationships, and the ways you’ve learned to adapt over time. Therapy often begins with creating space to understand what brings you in and what feels most important to explore. Over time, sessions may involve reflecting on patterns, emotions, and relationships, clarifying values, and developing more intentional ways of responding to life’s challenges.

When I describe my work as depth-oriented psychotherapy, I’m referring to an approach that looks beneath immediate distress to understand the underlying patterns that shape how you experience yourself and others. We take time to explore how certain ways of coping may have developed, how they may have helped you in the past, and where they may now be limiting your sense of ease or authenticity. Skills are often integrated along the way, offered in context and alongside reflection and exploration, in ways that ultimately strengthen self-trust.

This approach allows therapy to be both reflective and practical—supporting change that is rooted in self-understanding, not just symptom management. The pace and focus of therapy are shaped collaboratively, with attention to what feels most meaningful and supportive for you.

I work with adults who are thoughtful and self-aware, and who often carry a great deal internally. Many are used to managing responsibilities, expectations, and emotional complexity — and find it unsettling when familiar strategies no longer bring the clarity or steadiness they’re seeking. I also have additional training in grief and loss, and work with clients navigating many forms of change, transition, and emotional adjustment. Therapy offers a space where you don’t need to have everything figured out, and where curiosity, honesty, and growth can unfold at a pace that feels right to you.
